Coding with Beads

Create Beautiful Designs With Beads in Binary Code

Computers transport, calculate, and translate in binary code.  Computer hardware circuits only have two electrical states, “on” or “off” represented by using 1 and 0. In this project we are using two colors to represent the on and off states that represent each letter of the alphabet to create a necklace with students names in code.

The lesson and worksheets we used are here thanks to thinkersmith.org

This is a great filler for when kids get finished with a project!
